The Disneyland Resort will be seen by a few more
million people after the 'Spirit of Disneyland II starts the regular flight
route. Alaska Airlines introduced this brand new Disney plane recently (December
18) to replace the 'Spirit of the Disneyland I' which retired several weeks ago.
If you see the 'Spirit
of Disneyland II' you will know it. Power blue background, the plane features
all the characters of the Disneyland Resort and brings the Happiest Place on
Earth a wee bit closer to an airport near you.
Scheduled to make frequent runs through Los Angeles
International Airport, the plane is quite cute and one that is standard in the
aviation industry (minus all the cool Disney emblems.)
Here are some amazing facts about Spirit of
Disneyland II:
It took 300 gallons of paint to paint the
aircraft
It took 32,400 feet of tape to mask the plane and
paint it properly.
Pluto is included on this plane, he was missing
from the last plane.
Minnie Mouse is the closest character to the
front of the plane.
Beloved Mickey Mouse is found on the tail of the
craft
The airline craft is a Boeing 737-900.
Alaska Airlines honors the original Disneyland park
in Anaheim revealing this cool jet as well as giving a few seats to the
Make-A-Wish Foundation. On board to Los Angeles, several passengers were getting
the best treatment ever due to the gift of transportation and the support of the
Make-A-Wish Foundation. An avid supporter of the organization, Alaska Airlines
asks people to donate their frequent flier miles to this charity and others to
help families and children.
